Sustainable prosperity for all

We believe that good business and doing good must be synonymous. To that end, Link is wholeheartedly committed to leading with its values to advance environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives inside and outside our organization. And while it gives us an extraordinary opportunity to make a difference, at its heart ESG is simply good business.

Our approach to ESG

Like any company, we have important quarterly and annual goals. But we also think about the economy and world we want to leave for future generations. That’s why we prioritize environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives inside and outside our organization. ESG is foundational to Link’s identity as a firm—we know our place at the heart of the economy gives us an extraordinary opportunity to make good business synonymous with doing good.

Link's 2021 ESG Report

In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we are pleased to share Link’s second annual ESG report.

“We’re not interested in business as usual. We are building Link on disruption and sustainable innovation.”

Accelerated efforts toward a sustainable future
As the largest provider of last-mile logistics space in the U.S., we know that Link’s reach extends far beyond our warehouses. In addition to prioritizing our own energy efficiency, we invest in innovative partnerships and pursue bold initiatives to fight climate change, drive progress in our industry and facilitate our customers’ transitions to a low-carbon economy.

Social

Invested in our collective health and well-being
Improving quality of life for people in our communities goes beyond energy solutions. It includes everything from partnering with nonprofits like CoreGiving, to donating warehouse space, to providing paid volunteer time. Leveraging our passion and resources to make a difference is core to who Link is and how we do business.
Advancing social progress happens internally, too. Our DEI program and ASCEND women’s network contribute to a diverse culture where every voice is valued and every employee feels like they belong. This helps our team members bring their best selves to work while leading fulfilling lives outside the office.

People powered

Every day our talented people demonstrate their dedication, commitment and resilience to our clients and stakeholders. Link endeavors to empower them by creating a healthy, diverse and equitable environment, and providing the support and resources they need to feel valued and do their best work.

Sustainable Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

DEI is foundational for the health of our people and organization. We aim to create a diverse culture where every voice is valued and to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness for every employee. To help us achieve this, we formed a grassroots DEI Committee. With their guidance, Link officially launched its DEI Program in 2021 — focusing on recruitment, our culture and community impact. By taking the time to examine DEI through the right lens, we are creating sustainable, impactful DEI initiatives that align with the greater good.

Empowering women to ASCEND

We created the ASCEND women’s empowerment network in 2021 to support women at Link through mentorship, community and educational events. Link provides ongoing support, inspiration and opportunities to connect, share, learn and lead.

Caring for communities

One of our core values is giving back to our customers and communities. We believe it is our responsibility to respond to the needs and priorities of our customers and communities at the local level in order to positively impact their quality of life.

Sharing space for social impact

To support mission-driven groups, Link donates safe and secure short-term warehouse space. We invite charities, nonprofits and philanthropic organizations across the country to utilize our warehouse space to aid in the critical work they do.

Volunteer support

Through initiatives like CoreGiving Day, we combine our passion and resources to make a difference. We provide eight hours of paid volunteer time for every employee each year and in 2021, 400+ Link team members volunteered to support CoreGiving’s mission to fight childhood hunger.

Governance

Now, not later
Link’s customers and stakeholders rely on us to operate with the utmost integrity. That’s why our governance is rooted in accountability and transparency. In collaboration with Link’s board of directors, we create clearly defined commitments to guide and monitor performance and compliance. The tools we use include a formalized code of ethics, a vendor code of conduct, implementing climate risk assessments for new acquisitions, and reporting ESG progress and priorities in allboard books.
