What’s your role at Link Logistics and how long have you been with the company?
Maura: I've been with Link Logistics for more than three years, based in our Fort Washington office. I now serve as a senior manager focused on the East Region for our Integrated Services team.
What does your role in industrial real estate operations entail?
Maura: I call it a "problem-solving position" because I interact with everyone across all departments to address customer inquiries at our logistics properties. Whether verifying billing accuracy or interpreting lease agreements, my role involves significant troubleshooting.
My main responsibility is to support financial coordination and customer relationships across our East Region warehouses and distribution centers. I work closely with property managers to ensure customers have clear communication about their lease terms and that any questions or concerns are resolved quickly and professionally.
Along with your full-time job, you're pursuing your doctorate. What inspired you to take on this challenge?
Maura: I'm earning a doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on Finance. I attended college later in life, starting at community college with my associate degrees before transferring to complete my bachelor's and master's degrees. I wanted to pursue my doctorate because I want to be a role model for my children and anyone else considering going back to school.
How do you spend your time when you're not at Link Logistics or studying?
Maura: I like to stay busy and get involved in my local community. I volunteer at my local food pantry and support the Literacy Council of Norristown, which helps ESL (English as a second language) learners and people working toward their GEDs. I was also an elected school board official at the local and state level for 10 years. I've always been passionate about ensuring everyone has equal access to quality education.
