How a Link Logistics Accounting Manager Brings Her Global Perspective to Industrial Real Estate

Link Logistics' Accounting team keeps the numbers flowing across its national portfolio of warehouses and distribution centers.

Houston-based senior manager Gaby Le supports Link Logistics' Fund Accounting and Reporting teams with process improvements, data analytics and system implementations for the company's logistics real estate portfolio. Her international background—from Hanoi to Singapore to Texas—brings a unique perspective to managing financial operations for warehouse and distribution facilities nationwide. Read on to learn how Gaby's global experiences shape her approach to industrial real estate accounting.

Tell us about your role at Link Logistics.

Gaby: I'm a senior manager of Accounting & Reporting Solutions, supporting the Fund Accounting and Reporting teams on various projects focused on process improvements, data analytics and system implementations. I joined Link Logistics as a full-time employee more than three years ago and worked as a consultant for the firm for two years before that. One major initiative I'm involved in is our Yardi reimplementation project, where I coordinate between internal teams and external consultants to enhance how we manage financial operations across our industrial real estate portfolio.

What brought you to Texas?

Gaby:  I was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. I left home at 14 and have lived in many places since then: New Hampshire, Virginia, Singapore—where I attended high school for four years—and I also went to college in Arkansas. During my senior year, I completed an internship in Houston, where I met my now-husband. After graduating, I moved here to be with him.

Of all those places you've lived, do you have a favorite?

Gaby: Absolutely—Singapore! It blew me away with its efficiency and culture. The city is incredibly clean and the people are so polite and welcoming. Their metro system is the best public transportation I've encountered anywhere, and the food scene is fantastic. I'm a big foodie, so that matters! I finally got to bring my husband there earlier this year and we had a blast meeting up with many of my old friends and eating our way through the city.

How do you spend your time when you're not traveling or managing financial operations for industrial real estate?

Gaby: My husband and I love playing pickleball with friends. We also host game nights regularly—some of us play board games while others play video games. I love hosting and cooking for our friends whenever they come over.
