Fort Washington, Pennsylvania-based customer experience manager Shane Dolan supports one of Link Logistics' largest e-commerce customers while maintaining deep roots in the Philadelphia area. Read on to learn how he helps customers thrive across Link Logistics’ national portfolio of warehouses and distribution centers—and how he stays busy outside the office.
How long have you worked at Link Logistics and what's your role on the Customer Experience team?
Shane: I joined Link in 2019, starting in an accounting role. Today, I'm a manager on the Customer Experience team, where I serve one of our firm's largest e-commerce customers. I work closely with our Customer Solutions team to handle this customer's needs across their national portfolio of logistics properties. While I've had different titles over the years, my focus has always been the same: problem-solving for our customers and being a resource for our market teams.
What do you enjoy most about working in logistics real estate?
Shane: Every customer we serve across our national portfolio of warehouses and distribution centers has unique needs. I support a household-name e-commerce company, so managing such a significant account means there's always something meaningful to work on.
What makes the Philadelphia area such a great place to live and work?
Shane: I've grown to love it here. Philadelphia offers access to everything. It's about two hours from beaches and mountains and New York City—not to mention all the sports stadiums within a 30-minute drive. All of my family is in the area, which makes it even better.
How do you like to spend your free time outside of work?
Shane: My fiancée and I have two dogs—Buster, a Pomsky, and Lumi, a Husky-Pitbull mix we rescued. We take them hiking and to my parents' house where they can swim all day.
One of my biggest passions is golf. My grandfather taught me how to play in eighth grade and even got me my first set of clubs. I've been fortunate to qualify for some prestigious amateur tournaments in the area. I took a break from golf to play baseball in college but picked it back up when I started my first job. Commercial real estate professionals always enjoy a good game of golf!
