Link Logistics CEO and President Discuss Industry Trends on “Leading Voices in Real Estate” Podcast

Link Logistics chief executive officer Luke J. Petherbridge and president and chief investment officer Nicholas L. Pell were recently interviewed on the “Leading Voices in Real Estate” podcast with host Matt Slepin to discuss industrial real estate market dynamics, Link Logistics’ last-mile warehouse portfolio and investment strategy, and how the firm is leveraging A.I. and insights from its national data platform to stay ahead.

“We are always thinking about how our buildings are meeting the market within our respective geographies,” Petherbridge said. “While the Link Logistics portfolio spans everything from smaller assets at our Link Parks division all the way up to million-and-a-half-square-foot bulk warehouses, the singular thread is our focus on infill locations where our customers need to be.”

Petherbridge emphasized the importance of locations that facilitate the swift delivery of goods.

“Deliveries that used to take a week then decreased to two days, and now it’s two hours,” he said. “The only way to solve for this shift is to be close to end consumers and population nodes. We have curated our portfolio around the fact that the desire for speed is solved with proximity.”

Pell touched on how the firm’s platform and scale provide tangible benefits for investors and customers.

“We are curating, deal by deal and building by building, what we want to own and how we can ensure the most successful value proposition,” Pell said. “We’re very well-positioned to leverage the benefits that come from our scale.”

The “Leading Voices in Real Estate” podcast series features interviews with influential real estate executives with a focus on their career stories and advice.
