Link Logistics CEO Helps Secure Grant for CoreGiving Through Blackstone Challenge

Link Logistics chief executive officer Luke J. Petherbridge helped secure a $125,000 grant for CoreGiving, the firm’s closest nonprofit partner, through the Blackstone Gives Back Challenge. Co-founded by Petherbridge in 2016, CoreGiving works to end childhood hunger and provided more than 20 million meals to food-insecure households in 2022.

The Blackstone Gives Back Challenge, a competition administered by the Blackstone Charitable Foundation, invites CEOs of Blackstone portfolio companies to pitch nonprofits to receive financial support. More than 50 nonprofits were nominated.

Petherbridge and April Housing CEO Alice Carr’s nomination of CoreGiving was selected among just three finalists to be pitched live at the Blackstone CEO Conference in New York City, which was attended by more than 200 CEOs of portfolio companies. Petherbridge and Carr ultimately earned second-place recognition in the contest to secure $125,000 for CoreGiving. The sum will fund more than 600,000 meals.

“This support from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation will significantly bolster CoreGiving’s ability to help children and families across the United States,” Petherbridge said. “It is thanks to the compassion and generosity of donors of all sizes that CoreGiving is able to do its important work.”

In October, nearly 900 Link Logistics employees donated more than 3,500 hours to fight childhood hunger for the third annual CoreGiving Day volunteer mobilization.
