Link Logistics chief financial officer Matthew L. Ostrower was featured in leading finance-focused digital publication CFO Brew this week, offering insights on the evolving role of finance leaders and the value of embracing a strategic mindset in today’s business landscape.
In the interview, Ostrower also reflected on his nontraditional path to the C-suite and the importance of grasping emerging technologies.
"What you need to understand is, what can tech help you do? What are your choices for how to use tech in your business?” he offered as advice to aspiring CFOs. “It’s moving into the world of predictive analytics, and … how you should operate differently as a result, delivering data in real time to people’s desktops in a way they can understand it and act upon it."
Ostrower shared how Link Logistics’ focus on infill logistics real estate positions the firm to support faster, more efficient delivery for its customers across the country.
“Companies have realized that the faster they can deliver, the more they can sell, and the more money they can make,” he explained. “Proximity becomes enormously important … We went from a world 15 years ago when where the warehouse didn’t matter all that much to now, location is everything.”
The article is part of CFO Brew’s ongoing series exploring how finance leaders across industries navigate change and build smarter, more adaptable businesses.
