New York – August 17, 2022 – Link joined more than 170 leading companies from across the country in signing a Human Rights Campaign letter urging the U.S. Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act, which would federally codify marriage equality for same-sex and interracial couples.
“At Link, our people are our greatest asset. We believe their freedom to marry who they love should be respected and protected under the law—no matter where in the country they live,” said CEO Luke Petherbridge. “We want all of our employees and partners to feel empowered to be their authentic selves.”
The Human Rights Campaign is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ rights. In addition to Link, companies that have signed the group’s letter for marriage equality include American Airlines, Google, Levi Strauss & Co., Nike, Salesforce and Target.
“Standing up for what’s right is part of what defines doing good business today,” said Melissa Sachs, SVP, Communications. “These companies are using the power of their platform to support the rights of Americans in every state.”
