Renowned Speaker Carla Harris Inspires, Motivates Link Team on International Women’s Day

Renowned speaker and leader Carla Harris delivered a captivating speech for Link employees as part of the firm’s International Women’s Day program. Harris, a finance executive and celebrated advocate for equity in the workplace, discussed topics including authenticity, resilience and self-advocacy while also sharing personal experiences of navigating the workplace as a woman of color. Her talk was followed by a live Q&A with Link CEO Luke Petherbridge. 

“The easiest way to penetrate a relationship is to bring your authentic self into that environment,” Harris said in her virtual appearance before over 500 Link team members. “When you bring your authentic self into that environment people trust you, and trust is at the heart of any successful relationship.”

Harris’ keynote was presented by Ascend, Link’s employee resource group that provides support for women at the firm. During her talk, Harris shared her famous “Carla’s Pearls” of wisdom about how to build successful and meaningful careers. As a company that is more than 50 percent women in a historically male-dominated sector, advancing gender equity is a cause of particular emphasis for Link and its leadership.
