The Maintenance Technicianis responsible for the day-to-day inspections, documentation, and coordination of our underground Geotechnical and Safety programs. Perform assigned general maintenance services. Time allocation: geotechnical and safety programs - 5% and general maintenance
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to and works under the Director of Operations.
Maintain and manage monthly and quarterly geotechnical safety readings through instrumentation and Excel data entry.
Coordinates safety inspections in all our tenant facilities and common areas on an annual basis. Mapping and documentation of each inspection area is required.
Perform manual scaling of the ceilings and coordinate with the maintenance staff for assistance as needed.
Maintain communication and assist with mining consultant when visiting the premises.
Ability to coordinate and work with Geotechnical project contractors.
Implement specific safety programs as directed.
Perform and/or assist with general maintenance assignments as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in an underground or industrial environment. Experience with geotechnical safety readings, safety inspections, audits, and state requirements preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
Ability to organize and maintain detailed inspection records.
Attention to detail.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
A team player willing to work and develop in the role.
Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
Working knowledge of spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, AutoCAD skills preferred.
Able to pass Government Background check.
